Code of Conduct

The Golden Rule

Any action or behavior that causes significant interference with convention operations, excessive discomfort to other attendees, or adversely affects Furnavias relationship with its guests, its venues, or the public is strictly forbidden and may result in removal from premises.

Treat others with respect.
Always ensure you have consent for your behavior.
You're personally responsible for your own actions and liable for any damages that you may have caused to yourself, other persons or property.
You're expected to follow Norwegian laws, the rules set by the premises, and Furnavia’s Code of Conduct.
Public display of adult-themed materials and activities is not permitted.
Please remember limitations that fursuiters have in perception and mobility, and treat them with care.
Any other activities that may adversely affect bystanders or property, like mock fights and the like are not allowed without explicit permission from the head of security.

You MUST be at least 18 years old when attending Furnavia.
Furnavia requires a convention ticket and an official badge for the current event. The badge must be easily visible when entering and staying at the convention area.
Modifying or covering up identifying information on the badge is not permitted.
You are not allowed to assist someone to enter the convention space, who does not have a valid registration to attend Furnavia.
Attending without a convention badge is not permitted without a written agreement with Furnavia. Impersonating another attendee by wearing their badge is not permitted.

Do not photograph or record anyone in situations where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, including interventions by convention medics or security. Distributing such content is strictly prohibited.
Respect others around you. If someone doesn’t want to be photographed or filmed, you are not allowed to.
Attendees and members of the fandom are free to use their photos and videos in their personal social media channels with permission of those visible in their content.
All other commercial uses required written permission in the form of media accreditation by the Furnavia board. Please email contact@furnavia.org for accreditation.
Restrictions or other rules may apply for certain events and areas.

Commercial activity at the convention space is only allowed at the designated areas, and must be pre-approved by Furnavia.
All other commercial activities are not permitted at the convention space.

Security staff have final say on what constitutes permitted attire. For any questions about specific clothing, attire, or materials, please email security at security@furnavia.org at your earliest convenience, or ask for the lead of security during the convention.
Nudity nor excessively revealing clothing is not allowed in public spaces.
Leashes are strictly prohibited.
Full body harnesses are only allowed to be worn while fursuiting.
All other exposure of apparel that can be classified as "Fetish gear" is not permitted in public.
No body paint is allowed except for smear-safe makeup.

Your health always comes first!
If there is a risk of a medical emergency, remove your fursuit head immediately and contact the nearest medic or security person. Please note that first responders may cut your clothing and/or fursuit in case of emergency.
You are responsible for your own fursuit at all times. This includes while using the fursuit lounge.

Follow Norwegian laws regarding weapons or look-alike weapons in public spaces.
All weapons, including look-alikes, tools, and toys must be approved by convention security.
The head of security has the final decision on any item.

Any speech or text that encourages or supports discrimination, violence, or harassment based on race, sexual orientation, gender, age, religion, nationality, or medical conditions is not allowed.
Any symbols that support or encourage hateful movements or organizations are not allowed.

Alcohol above 60% ABV (120 proof) is not permitted by Norwegian law.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages within the convention is only permitted at designated areas, and only if purchased from licensed bars & restaurants operating within the convention space.
Due to Norwegian law, you may NOT consume alcoholic beverages in public areas, such as streets, parks, or beaches.
The possession, consumption, or sale of illegal or controlled substances as per Norwegian law will not be tolerated. The same applies to the abuse of any other substances.
Never share and/or distribute any personal medical drugs.

Only licensed service animals are permitted into the convention space and must be approved by both Furnavia and the hotel well in advance of the convention.
Please make sure to contact us here prior to the event.

Reckless or disruptive behavior is not permitted for the safety and enjoyment of all hotel’s guests. Attendees may not enter the service areas of the hotels or restricted convention areas.
Walking barefoot is not allowed in the hotel, nor around the convention space.
Stickers may only be placed on designated surfaces. Applying stickers or usage/placement of items in ways that can cause damage is prohibited, and may incur financial repercussions.
